# Viewing sources

Open a source when you want to check what ResponseHub extracted from a document,
or find out which answers it has contributed to.

## Open a source

Go to **Sources** and select a source in the table. Its details open in a panel
beside the list.

To share a source with a colleague, select the link icon next to the **Source**
label at the top of the panel to copy a direct link to it.

## What the panel shows

**Title and description.** Both are generated by ResponseHub after the document
is processed, and both can be edited — select either one to change it in place.

**Attached File.** The original document, with its file size and current
processing status. Select the filename to open or download the original file.

**Knowledge Base Usage.** The knowledge base items that draw on this source, each
linking through to the item. This section only appears when the source has
actually been used, so an absent section means nothing cites it yet.

**Document Structure.** The headings and sections ResponseHub found in the
document, in order. Useful for checking that a document was read the way you
expect.

**Full Text Content.** The complete text extracted from the document. This is
what questions are matched against, so if an answer looks wrong, this is the
place to confirm the text came through correctly.

**Audit History.** A record of changes made to the source.

The last four sections are collapsed by default — select a heading to expand it.

## Download every source

To export your documents, select **Download All Sources** at the top of the
sources list.
